This is my first post on the forum, hope you's are all well!

Me and a few of the lads are planning a weekend in Barcelona, for around late May early June time, and are wondering what event's (Makina) will be on around that time ? We will be wanting to have a look in the record shop's aswell over there so are wondering what ones are still open and what the addresses, times and everything are for them ect. We may as well make the most of it because it cost's a fortune for postage from pain to England haha, any help would be much appreciated by us, thanks!

A lot of clubs are closed, but normally there are one makina party by week. I don't think makina is dead, there are producers how makes makina. And sorry for my english

It's fine mate, makes sense to me haha! Oh I see, thought it would still be on the up, it is in the North East of England again. Do you know of any Makina record shops that are still open ?

Sinthetic Records: C/ Alemania 26 bajo izq - Mataró 08303 (Barcelona)

Sector dj's: I don't know the direction, but I think it's still in Vilafranca del Pendès

Distorsion Records: I don't where is the store, sorry...

I'm sure Distorsion Records is near the Nou Camp, it looked like it on Google maps. I'm just not sure about if it's even still open and what the opening times are ect.

Secondly, Distorsion Records is near carrer de sants, concretely at C/Bassegoda, 3-5 corner with Carreras Candi (that's what my card, which is quite old, says, I think it hasn't changed, although you have more info at: http://www.distorsionrecords.es/)

Finally, tell you that nowadays the only regular place for "makina" or mainly "hardcore" styles is Pont Aeri, but also there are some punctual parties you should check depending on your dates. Whatever, Pont Aeri will always be open for those dates. I would recommend you some days before coming to Barcelona asking again for a more accurate information about parties, in order to plan your trip.

Hello Sanx! Thanks very much for the nice welcoming and all the information, I've been speaking to David Shox who has gave me the address to Sinthetic records, but when looking on Google maps it looks a quite distance from Barcelona, are there trains we could get to Mataro from Barcelona Centre ? We will be looking in Distorsion records aswell, so thanks very much for all the information you have given me, It's much appreciated mate!
