Circoloco has announced the full line-up for their DC-10 opening and closing party, with Ricardo Villalobos leading the charge.
To say that this year hasn't been a good one for DC-10 would be a bit of an understatement. Last October saw the club get slapped with a €300,000 fine and a closure order for one full year, putting it out of action for the entire season of 2009. Or so we thought, as it seems like the cheeky party animals at the club have only gone and booked a bunch of Circoloco favourites for the day after the ban expires. Residents Andrew Grant, Tania Vulcano, Davide Squillace, Clive Henry and System Of Survival will be joined by London tech-house pin-up Jamie Jones, Freak'n'Chic boss Dan Ghenacia, Matthias Tanzmann, Timo Maas and Minimono, who will be the party's sole live act.
Raresh, Petre Inspirescu, Rhadoo will also be making an appearance under their [a:rpia:r] banner, while chief Crosstown Rebel Damian Lazarus will also make his first and only Ibiza appearance of the year at the bash. However, sources seem to be confirming that the licencing issue at the heart of the ban is yet to be addressed, with a Sant Josep council official being quoted in island newspaper Ultima Hora as saying that the club will "carry on having the same capacity and licenses as before, so inside they have cafe concierto license for 74 people, while in the terrace they have bar license for 125 people. Outside, as they have [a] bar license, they can't play music."
With the Ibizan authorities already demonstrating their hard line in the middle of last season, it remains to be seen what will come of the only DC-10 party this year.
