I personally divide dance music into 2 categories:
- Commercial dance: It's the ultimate evolution of dance music. The one that you can hear on compilation like Hit mania dance. It is created by artists like Gabry Ponte, Dj Ross, Prezioso, Gigi d'Agostino,
- Dance '90-'95: It's the old style of dance, the most important artists are Double you, Datura, Indiana, La Bouche.

Both commercial and Dance '90-'95 are almost "dead" in our nation. These songs can be found on cd only. At limit, If you are lucky you might find a dancefloor where they play commercial dance. House music instead is played everywhere 

So there aren't so many dancefloor where you can hear dance music, that's a pity
