The Merchants Guild is Last Epoch's gateway to trade, wealth, and a player-driven economy. By mastering favor management, progressing through ranks, and understanding which items hold the most value, you can transform the Bazaar into Last Epoch gold both a resource for your builds and a gold mine for profit.

Remember:

Spend favor to rank up quickly.

Don't ignore idols and rare affixes-they're sleeper profit makers.

Follow the meta, and sell what's hot.

Play smart, and the Merchants Guild won't just be a trading hub-it'll be your path to legendary wealth.

One of the most time-consuming parts of any action RPG is inventory management. Whether you're hoarding exalted items, juggling multiple uniques, or just throwing loot into a "dump tab" after a long farming session, sorting can feel like more work than actual combat. Fortunately, Last Epoch recently introduced a powerful new feature that automatically sorts your stash. If you haven't explored it yet, this guide will walk you through everything you need to know about auto-sorting, setting up categories, and keeping your loot organized with minimal effort.

Why Auto-Sorting Matters

Before this feature, players often managed their stash manually. A common method was creating a "dump tab" where items were quickly deposited mid-session, only to face a huge sorting project later. With dozens of tabs and hundreds of items-uniques, idols, exalteds, legendaries-it became easy to lose track of what you owned. Having a lot of Last Epoch gold can help you a lot.

The new auto-sort system solves that headache. Instead of manually dragging each piece of gear into a specific tab, you can now assign affinities to categories and tabs. After that, simply Shift + Right-Click an item, and it automatically goes into the correct tab. This ensures exalted weapons land with other weapons, idols of the same size group together, and your legendary potential gear never gets mixed in with standard uniques.

Setting Up Your Categories

The first step is to create categories. Think of these as broad headers that organize your stash tabs. At the top of the stash screen, click the plus sign to create a new category. Right-click to rename and recolor it for clarity. For example:

Exalts (purple)

Idols (blue)

Sets (green)

Uniques (orange)

Legendaries (red)

Dump Tab (neutral color)

Your "dump tab" acts as a safety net. Any item that doesn't fit into an assigned tab will land here, letting you easily identify strays, low-value gear, or reminders that a category is full and needs another tab.

Breaking Down Tabs for Exalts

Exalted items deserve special attention because they're the backbone of legendary crafting. To maximize efficiency, it's best to give each equipment slot its own tab. For example:

One-Handers

Two-Handers (may need multiple tabs due to size)

Off-Hands

Helmets

Chests

Gloves

Boots

By setting tab affinities correctly, all exalted gear of a certain type will land where it belongs. This eliminates the frustration of searching across 30 different tabs for a single bow or chest piece. If you want even more granularity, you can create build-specific tabs-for example, a tab dedicated only to exalted one-handed swords if you primarily play Judgment Paladin.

Organizing Idols

Idols are another category where clutter builds up fast. They come in different sizes, so it makes sense to divide them by slot size:

Big Idols (1x4)

Medium Idols (1x2 or 1x3)

Small Idols (1x1)

Within each tab, you can further refine by idol type if needed. This makes it much easier to find the right idol for your current build without sifting through mixed piles.

Sorting Set Items

Set items are less demanding since they can be salvaged for shards if you don't need them. A couple of dedicated tabs should be enough, though it's worth keeping a few organized in case you want to experiment with niche builds.

Managing Uniques and Legendary Potential

Uniques require the most nuanced approach. To avoid clutter, you can separate them based on whether they have legendary potential (LP), Weaver's Will, or neither:

Regular Uniques: Max LP = 0, Weaver's Will = 0

LP Uniques: Minimum LP = 1, Weaver's Will = 0

Weaver's Will Uniques: Minimum Weaver's Will = 1, LP = 0

Legendaries: Simply select the "Legendary" rarity

If you want to get even more specific, you could create separate tabs for items with 2 LP, 3 LP, or 4 LP. This is especially useful if you're targeting items to buy Last Epoch gold craft into high-tier legendaries.
